As for monsters, Merser's Enhancement mod for BD should be a step in the right direction (it helps that the author is still working on Doom 2016-ifying the monsters. And I want their behaviors to mimic D4's monsters very closely so it'd be a lot of work, cause they do a lot more than our classic friends we're used to.) would probably be a month's work for each monster, just to get it done properly.
